Beats Of Rage presents Riton + guests at our 7th Birthday party
The wait is finally over. We’re excited to announce the full line-up for our 7th Birthday do which is coming up fast (Sat 4th October). Our special guests include an international artist with releases on Ed Banger & Modular Records amongst others, a local nutcase who played at our first party at The Venue in 2007, and a Manchester-based DJ and producer with recent appearances at Parklife & Festival No 6 under his belt.
We knew we had to deliver something special to top off the last birthday’s set from Justin Robertson (highlights video above), so we decided to go for a chap whose been on our playlist since the very beginning, someone whose records always deliver on the Beats Of Rage dancefloor – Riton.
RITON (Ed Banger Records | Nest)
BLACK (Now Wave | Lost Control)
PRTYDSTRYR (Live Acid Set)
+ MVRCK (beatsofrage.net)
with The Beats of Rage DJ Team: T.F.Wizard | Hindle | Bail
We’ve been big fans of Riton’s journey from hip hop and downtempo into full-on electro mayhem in his career, particularly back in 2010, when he and the late great DJ Mehdi joined forces to create Carte Blanche – a project that plundered the toughest sounds of dirty, gritty, and off the wall electro, with tracks like ‘Gare Du Nord’ (above) and ‘Jack On The Moon’ becoming out-and-out Beats Of Rage anthems.
Since then Riton has moved on to add even more components to his weaponry, delving into techno, trap and r&b edits as he continues to surprise us with each release. His brand new single ‘I Am The Whisper’ / ‘Dance With Moi’ is a dark, heavy beast, that will sound insane on Operation Sound System’s rig. Check it out below.

Elsewhere the party will be joined by a live 808 and 303 acid set from our Pish, AKA PRTYDSTRYR, whose set at our Festival of Friends was so good, we knew we had to get him back. Also expect some ‘druggy chuggy’ techno from Lost Control boss Black, who has just returned from the the forest at Festival Number 6. Beyond that, expect the usual mishmash of acid house, techno, electro and bass from residents TF Wizard, Hindle and Bail, as well as beatsofrage.net super-contributor MVRCK. Come celebrate seven years of raging against the beast! Get your Beats of Rage tickets here.
